On 19 September 2024, eight AVVBA members and three spouses/significant others journeyed to Robins AFB for a guided tour of the excellent History of Aviation Museum located there.
They especially enjoyed the Vietnam War exhibits, which brought our many varied comments and more memories (some good, some not-so-good). The docent (his name was Allen) did an outstanding job, providing interesting histories of the various aircraft and how they arrived at the museum, as well as some of the people who helped to make the museum happen.
After a lunch catered by the local Honey Baked Ham company, they were free to tour the museum on their own. It was a fun and enjoyable day for all who attended the event."
